What has been your favorite memory of Alpha Chi so far?
Getting my bigs, they are absolutely THE best! I am beyond grateful to the Lord for putting them in my life.
Has Auburn changed you in any way this first semester?
Definitely, I have been more independent than I have ever been. I am the baby of the family so I'm used to having things done for me-lol but I quickly learned how to get by on my own during the first semester at Auburn.
Do you have any secret talents?
I love hair! I like to cut my friends' hair and curl hair. Also, I'm really into musical theatre and have been in fourteen musicals/plays.
If you could travel anywhere where would it be and why?
I have always wanted to go to Greece since the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" movie. Just because it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
What do you miss most about Auburn during break?
My Alpha Chi friends that live all over the place and also my apartment because I like being in Auburn and I love my roommate.
What is your favorite song?
"Seven Years" by Norah Jones (and literally anything by Carrie Underwood).
Hometown: Vestavia Hills, AL
What is your major? Why did you choose this major/what would you like to do in the future?
My major is Elementary Education. Funny story actually about how I chose it ha. When I was applying to auburn the application asked me to choose what I would want to major in, but at the time I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life (nothing has changed), so I scrolled through the list and just chose something blindly knowing I could change it once I got here, but yet here I am still trucking along in elem ed!!
Why did you choose Alpha Chi?
When I talked to Anna Lane Tinsley on philanthropy day and was able to open up to her which I was uncomfortable doing anywhere else, so when I came back and saw her on pref day I knew it was the one for me…but mainly the consistent smell of freshly baked cookies
What are you involved in at Auburn or outside of Auburn?
This past year I was able to serve as co-intramural chair, which provided me with the opportunity to meet people in different pledge classes while exercising to keep off that freshman 15.
What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
As cliché as this is, my favorite Auburn tradition would have to be the eagle flying before every home game. When I came to games as a little girl it was my favorite and nothing has changed since!
What has been your favorite Alpha Chi memory?
I’ve loved living on the hall this year because I’m with all my girlies but it’s also cool for me to just barge in to any room I want without being hated for it!!!!!
What is something many people may not know about you?
I like to think I’m an open book, but I really really like corgis and plan to live alone in the French countryside with 7 to 9 corgis in my older years!!!
If you could have dinner with any famous person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Ke$ha because she is my homegirl. #throwsomeglitter #makeitrain
What's one piece of advice you would give our new freshmen?
I would tell the freshmen to soak it up. Work hard, be the best student you can possibly be, but never let the stress of school/overall life take away the joy of being at the greatest school in the country with some of the most incredible people. Invest in your relationships because people matter most above everything else!
What has been your favorite Auburn memory?
Right before that crazy catch by Ricardo Louis happened in the 2013 Georgia game, it was looking like we were gonna lose! So the whole student section started chanting “It’s great to be an Auburn Tiger” without the cheerleaders even starting it first! We got pretty much the whole stadium to chant it too! Then about a minute later, that catch happened and we won! I’ve never been more proud to be a part of this family!
Who has impacted you most in life?
My mom, no doubt. She is the definition of resilience and independence. She is incredibly strong but also has a kind, gentle heart and I hope to one day be half the woman that she is!
What is your favorite movie?
Remember the Titans because Denzel Washington is awesome and that movie has the best/most motivating quotes of all time. “Who are we? MOBILE, AGILE, HOSTILE….Will. You. Ever. Quit? NO! WE WANT SOME MO, WE WANT SOME MO, WE WANT SOME MO.” It’s one of those movies that never gets old!
What is your favorite place you've ever traveled to?
I haven’t been on any super extravagant trips out of the country; I’m hoping to travel much more later in life! But my favorite place in the world that isn’t Birmingham has to be Lake Mitchell. It’s about an hour south of Birmingham and it’s where I’ve spent most of my summers with my family! I’m never happier than when I’m sitting on the dock with my mom, dad, and brothers, drinking a cup of coffee as the sun goes down.
What has been the hardest adjustment with college?
I think the hardest thing has been managing my time between school, Alpha Chi, and band. It's hard having 3 things that take up a lot of time, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
What is your favorite show on Netflix?
Well I don't have a Netflix (super strange), but I love The Bachelor!! I've watched it with my mom and sister since the first season, so I'm kinda addicted. I can't wait for it to start again in February!
What was it like trying to balance fall recruitment and band camp at the same time?
It was super stressful, but I had so much fun! I would go to band camp from 7-4 every day, then run over to rush for an hour before I had to go back to practice. My Pi Chi was so great!! She would have my schedule for me and we would sprint to each sorority in my smelly band clothes. I was only in there for about 10 minutes, so I was always stressed when it came to the rankings. I loved it though!
What is your favorite part of Auburn game day?
I absolutely love pregame!! It makes me so nervous but also so excited! We all wait under the stadium then run out to see the thousands of people watching us. I can't explain how that feels. I always watched the band when I came to the games, so it's so cool to be a part of that now.
What made you choose Alpha Chi?
Taylor Sivley is who made me choose Alpha Chi. She would always talk to me when I came in, and she was so sweet. I was happy to have a sorority that I connected with. I love the philanthropy, what Alpha Chi stands for, and its reputation. I wanted a place that would help me grow in my relationship with Christ, and I knew that Alpha Chi would definitely do that.
Hometown: Decatur, AL
How is being an Aubie Director?
I love being an Aubie Director! There's probably a 90% chance I'm with Aubie whenever you see him! It keeps me super busy but it has been a great learning experience so far and I have grown tremendously as a person. I get to help bring smiles to people's faces every day which is ultimately what it is all about.
Any advice for freshmen looking to get involved?
I think that it is important that when you get involved you should make sure that it is something that you actually care about and that it shouldn't just be a "resume builder." In college it's easy to get overwhelmed with the heavy workload but if it's something that you enjoy doing or you are passionate about it, then it's not as strenuous at the end of the day.
If I was an article of clothing, I would be my Tory Burch riding boots! They are simple, classic, and compliment almost any outfit I wear in the fall (which is also my favorite season!)
My favorite memory in Alpha Chi would be when my grandmother surprised me and came to Auburn to initiate me into Alpha Chi during my freshman year! It is so special that I get to share my sorority with my grandmother and she even gave me a ring with the Alpha Chi crest on it that I wear every single day.
I honestly can't pick just one food! I think having to eat only one food for the rest of my life is my worst nightmare. I'm basically a garbage disposal when it comes to food so I love everything!
If I could live anywhere, I would live in Auburn and magically find a way to stay a junior in college forever! It breaks my heart that I will have to leave Auburn in 2 years so if I could, I would just stay 20 years old and live here forever!
My biggest role model in my life has, without a doubt, been my mom. To know her is to love her and she has always been my best friend and biggest supporter. We have this weird twin telepathy and I swear she knows me better than I know myself. She means everything to me and I hope and pray that I end up just like her one day!
The coolest place I've ever been would have to be Haiti! I went on a mission trip during my senior year of high school to a community of deaf Haitians living together just outside the capital of Port-au-Prince. I had the opportunity to learn some sign language and help the people in the community develop practical skills that would help them become more self sufficient in an effort to alleviate their poverty. The friends I made there are truly incredible people who are filled with joy and love!
My celebrity crush is hands down Eric Church! I love him more for his music than his looks, but he is the coolest person in the world to me! He sings songs about love, loss, having fun, and living in the South! I've seen him live 3 times and he's absolutely amazing!
My favorite movie is The Help! I read the book too and loved it but I think the movie just brings to life the true humor and humanity in the story. The plot combines complexities within family, romantic, and work relationships and highlights the importance of loving other people for their differences. (plus Emma Stone is flawless!) I can't watch the ending without crying.
Major: Biomedical Sciences
What is your favorite Alpha Chi memory?
It's hard to choose one, but of my favorite Alpha Chi memories is going white water rafting in Columbus! I've always wanted to go and was glad to share my first experience with my AXO friends. I'll never forget our tour guide falling out of the raft and moving down the lazy river!
If you could live anywhere for a year, where would it be?
A year would be the perfect amount of time to live in Florida near Orlando. I don't think its where I would pick to live my whole life, but I would love a little more time to volunteer at Give Kids the World Village and a way to go to Disney World as often as possible.
What is your ultimate dream job?
My ultimate dream job is actually the one I'm pursuing, to be a physician's assistant and to have the opportunity to explore different areas of medicine through that career. I most hope to spend time working in pediatrics.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
My superpower of choice has always been flight. It would be awesome to be able to travel wherever I wanted, and it seems like it would be plain fun. I love superhero movies and wished I could fly as a kid after watching Superman for the first time.
What made you choose to come to Auburn?
Auburn has been important to my family for generations, and I've been coming all of my life for football games. I was sure I wanted to come here for school not only because it feels like home, but also because I was confident it would lead me to a successful career and give me opportunities to branch out on campus.
What sold you on Alpha Chi?
Alpha Chi's musical history caught my attention at first. Later, the real hook was not only how genuine each Alpha Chi I met was when they told me about themselves and the sorority, but also how genuinely interested they were in what I had to say, too. I felt more comfortable and more "myself" at Alpha Chi than I did anywhere else during recruitment.

What has it been like being a part of Danceline at Auburn?
Being on Auburn's Danceline has been a dream come true. I have wanted to be on a collegiate dance team my entire life. I began dancing at my aunt's studio Linda Dobbins Dance when I was in fourth grade, and I danced competitively there for 9 years.
What has it been like being working as choreographer for Greek Sing as a freshman?
At first I was really intimidated, but the older girls were so sweet and have been so much help in keeping everyone focused. I can always count on them to be the bad cop when needed. I have loved every second of greek sing and I have made 33 amazing friends that I probably would not have gotten to know without greek sing!
How has it been balancing being on Danceline and being in Alpha Chi?
It was difficult at first because I had to miss so many things that it was hard to get to know people, but the whole chapter has been so supportive of me being on Danceline! (and of course I always feel so loved on gamedays when I see all my sisters wearing my face on their buttons!)
What is your favorite part of Alpha Chi?
Definitely all of the friends I've made! It's so awesome having so many friends that are so different and are from so many different places!
What has been your favorite freshman year memory?
I can't choose a certain one! probably just every social! always love tearin up the dance floor with my girls
If you could give any advice to upcoming freshmen, what would it be?

2. Be yourself no matter what

What is your favorite memory in Alpha Chi?
My favorite Alpha Chi memory would have to be getting my little.
How has your fame through modeling for the American Girl Magazine affected your college career?
Well I've been able to lead a normal college life because, surprisingly, no one remembers the 2004 Summer edition. My friends, however, won't let me live it down.
Major: Graphic Design and Communication
What has been your favorite memory in Alpha Chi?
For the past two years, I've worked on decorations during recruitment, which has been so fun. I love doing behind-the-scenes stuff like that, and I loved spending those late nights + long hours with the other decorations girls working to make our chapter room look even better than it normally does. I'm so thankful that I found a way to use my talents and interests to serve our chapter, even if it's tiny things like ironing tablecloths and writing out name tags!
What piece of advice would you give to freshmen or sophomores about the rest of their time in Alpha Chi or at Auburn?
This is more of a general college life advice thing, but don't feel like you have to be involved in a million different groups. If Alpha Chi is the only thing you want to do while at Auburn, that's more than enough. One of my favorite reminders is from the book "Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters," by Courtney Martin: "We are the daughters of feminists who said, 'You can be anything,' and we heard, 'You have to be everything.'" You are not defined by the length of your resumé, and it's better to pour your heart into one thing than spread yourself too thin. I think we sometimes lose sight of that because there are so many incredible organizations on Auburn's campus. So I would say try new things, for sure, but know that you will always be enough, no matter how many organizations or honor societies you're a part of. There's just so much more to life than that.
What are your plans after college?
I've always loved sports, but am actually the most unathletic person ever. Once I realized that I could get into that industry from the creative side, I was completely sold on graphic design. After I graduate in December, I'd love to do graphic design for a professional sports team, designing their ads, tickets, posters, and things like that. My dream job is being the creative designer for a Major League Baseball team!
Who is someone you look up to in Alpha Chi?
Even though she is younger than me, I definitely look up to my little, Olivia Tofani. I literally look up to her, because she is tall like a beautiful model, but more importantly, she is absolutely the kindest & coolest person I know. She is so selfless, and her ability to make each person she meets feel welcome and important, no matter who or where they are, is such an incredible gift. Everyone that knows Olivia absolutely loves her, and I admire her so, so much.
