Why did you decide to come to Auburn?

I have always known that I wanted to come to Auburn. My parents both went to school here, so I grew up an Auburn fan. I could see myself here super easily. Simply being in Auburn made me feel at home because it's such a homey place.

What drew you to Alpha Chi?

I liked Alpha Chi a lot because it was easy to tell that all the girls were extremely genuine people. I have found some of the funniest coolest people ever through Alpha Chi. They are very encouraging and show me the love of Jesus like no other.

What is Chalk Thursday?

Chalk Thursday is a new thing that has started. One Wednesday night I was telling Chandler Cahoon that I had some chalk in my room that I got from big/little gifts. So we decided that that next morning we would chalk. Thus became Chalk Thursday!!! The first week it rained I think 3 times and it didn't go away. I got kinda nervous because I thought people would get mad that we "vandalized" the path, but it was fine. It looked good and it made people smile. It's my new favorite day of the week and everyone should come!

What are you involved in at Auburn?

I go to First Baptist Church of Opelika. That is where I have found the biggest source of community. It is filled such awesome people that encourage me and help me grow in my relationship with the Lord. I'm not really involved in anything else. I signed up to be in the pizza club because I thought that would be funny, but I never paid my dues so I don't think I'm actually in it. But I still get the emails so I could if I wanted to.

What has been the most surprising thing about freshman year?

One of the biggest things I have learned coming to college is how sweet and essential community is. You need people that can keep you accountable and can consistently encourage you. But another  thing I have learned is that you also need time by yourself. It's easy to think that you need to be around people all the time but sometimes alone time is necessary.

What is your favorite movie and why?

I don't really have a favorite movie. I like lots of movies. I'm a big fan of disney movies. Those are pretty great.
